    we did have a female programmer, but she left. She had a big problem with me for some reason, so I’m sort of glad she left. there seems to be more women at 2d companies than 3d.

    Yeah, was gonna say, I’ll bet the platform has a lot to do with it maybe? Computer/browser-based games probably have more women than console games working on them. But that’s a relatively uneducated guess. Out of all the gamers I’ve known over the years, though, I’ve only ever seen the dudes actually aspire to work in the industry.
