This is a really difficult project for me. Right now I’m trying to design a character for various poses in Character design - but the teacher doesn’t like my idea at all. He said that she was a grotesque monster and that if I wanted to draw muscles like that, I should just draw a man. I’m not trying to “subvert” and cliches or stereotypes, I just wanted to create a cute muscular girl. So now I have to decide whether to go forward with this design and potentially fail a project, redo the design and just make it a man, or scrap it all together and do something safer that will get me a good grade.
Art school, man.

Cartoon school: we’ll guide you on your way to designing any kind of fanciful creature your mind can conceive. Except female bodybuilders ew those are grotesque monsters. Make a talking flamingo-bear instead, that’s way more believable.
